Personnel selection procedure

The process of personnel selection refers to how companies select the most suitable candidates for open positions. This procedure consists of several steps designed to assess candidates' skills, experience and fit with the requirements of the position. It is important to have an effective personnel selection process in order to hire qualified employees who will contribute to the success of the company.

1. Job posting and receipt of applications

A job posting that clearly defines the requirements and duties of the position to be filled must be published first in the recruitment process. Applicants, who usually include a CV and a covering letter, then apply with their application documents. The applications received are screened in order to select the candidates who are suitable for the further selection process.

2. Pre-selection and screening

The applications received are carefully reviewed to identify the candidates who have the necessary qualifications and skills for the position. Candidates who are invited to the next selection round are selected on the basis of criteria such as education, professional experience and skills. The purpose of this screening process is to reduce the number of candidates and select those who have the greatest potential for the position.

3. Selection process and interviews

In the selection process, the candidates who have been selected are further evaluated using various methods such as tests, assessment centers or individual interviews. The aim of the interviews is to gain additional insights into the candidates, assess their social skills and check their suitability for the position. Companies can also use behavioral or case study interviews to assess candidates' reactions in certain situations. To make the best possible choice, this step is crucial.

4. Decision making and recruitment

The company makes the final decision on hiring the most suitable candidate after the selection process is completed. The results of the interviews, tests and assessments are taken into consideration. Once the candidate has been selected, they receive the job offer. Once accepted, contract negotiations and induction take place. Through an effective personnel selection process, qualified employees are successfully integrated into the company.
